include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overseeing operational and commercial activities of imports (air and ocean cargo)<\/li>\n<li>Improving the organization\u2019s market position and supporting financial growth<\/li>\n<li>Identifying and pursuing key opportunities within the air and ocean freight industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>KEY RESULT AREAS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Operational and Commercial Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Group Product offerings<\/li>\n<li>Initiate and implement strategic planning for the department<\/li>\n<li>Manage and drive the commercial performance of the department<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients to ensure retention<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the branch achieves monthly capacity and revenue targets<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Branch Manager and Regional Vertical Heads to achieve Group objectives<\/li>\n<li>Gather, analyze, and share market intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Introduce new products and services while strengthening existing relationships<\/li>\n<li>Conduct baseline research on prospective clients, including background research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> Business Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The role requires active business development and client engagement to ensure sustained growth and a strong pipeline of opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and prospect potential new clients to generate increased business<\/li>\n<li>Conduct cold calling within assigned markets or geographic areas<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Develop and leverage professional networks to engage prospective clients<\/li>\n<li>Identify decision-makers within client organizations<\/li>\n<li>Research and establish strong relationships with new clients<\/li>\n<li>Arrange meetings between client decision-makers and company leaders<\/li>\n<li>Develop tailored approaches and client pitches<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals aligned to client needs<\/li>\n<li>Participate in pricing solutions and service offerings<\/li>\n<li>Handle objections effectively by clarifying issues and negotiating positive outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Use persuasive communication techniques to influence decision-making<\/li>\n<li>Represent the company professionally and reflect the organization\u2019s brand image<\/li>\n<li>Attend industry functions, association events, and conferences<\/li>\n<li>Provide feedback on market trends and emerging opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Present to mid- and senior-level management on business trends<\/li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to develop new services, products, and distribution channels<\/li>\n<li>Use market and competitor knowledge to strengthen the company\u2019s unique selling propositions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> Management Responsibilities\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit monthly progress reports with accurate and timely data<\/li>\n<li>Forecast sales targets and ensure performance aligns with targets<\/li>\n<li>Track and record all business activities to support deal closure<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with internal divisions to meet prerequisites such as vendor registration or prequalification requirements<\/li>\n<li>Develop a thorough understanding of company capabilities and resources<\/li>\n<li>Align departmental activities with the organization\u2019s goals and objectives<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with staff and subordinates to ensure performance targets are met<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Commerce, Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of <strong>3\u20135 years\u2019 experience<\/strong> in sales, marketing, logistics, or related fields<\/li>\n<li><strong>IATA Certification<\/strong> (required)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Core Skills and Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Air freight and Ocean freight experience<\/li>\n<li>Networking and relationship-building<\/li>\n<li>Persuasion and negotiation skills<\/li>\n<li>Prospecting and client acquisition<\/li>\n<li>Sales planning and closing skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong motivation for achieving sales targets<\/li>\n<li>Ability to identify customer needs and challenges<\/li>\n<li>Territory management capability<\/li>\n<li>Market intelligence and industry knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Ability to meet sales goals<\/li>\n<li>Professional conduct and client engagement<\/li>\n<li>CRM system knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Operational knowledge of logistics and freight
