{"id":1507,"date":"2020-03-31T08:24:01","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T08:24:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/priconsultants.com\/vacancies\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=1507"},"modified":"2020-03-31T08:24:01","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T08:24:01","slug":"BUSINESSDEVELOPMENTMANAGER","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.priconsultants.com\/vacancies\/job\/1507","title":{"rendered":"BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of our clients, an International Telecommunications Company is looking for a Business Development Manager for their Zambian operations.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">JOB PURPOSE<\/span> <br \/>Reporting to the Director Commercial, the Job Holder will be responsible for coordinating business development activities across opportunity areas such as Fibre, IBS\/DAS, Site Advertising, Rural Sites, Street <br \/>Poles, Lamp Posts, Extra Power, Lease Amendments, IoT, Smart Cities, Government and Industry by drawing on insights from customers strategy and plans, conducting industry and customer space analyses based on trends and their impact on business, and collaborating cross functionally with key internal stakeholders. The BDM will use their skills to support the customer sales function in a revenue assurance capacity by ensuring the agreed business targets per portfolio are met and exceeded consistently. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">THE WAY WE WORK <\/span><br \/>We are customer focused, understanding that we continuously must surpass our customers\u2019 expectations. <br \/>We are innovative, constantly seeking new and improved ways to deliver our products and services. <br \/>\u2022\tIdentify and develop a target list of potential new clients and partners <br \/>\u2022\tUnderstand business objectives, challenges and opportunities of target client and industry <br \/>\u2022\tManage research, measurement, analytics, trends and data gathering from industry and report such to all stakeholders<br \/>\u2022\tEnsure all new products are properly commercialized and passed on to the marketing and account management teams <br \/>\u2022\tEnsure products are correctly priced according to industry and market standards <br \/>\u2022\tAttend client business review sessions, coordinate and lead commercial negotiations in line with the set commercial targets and criteria from the Commercial Director <br \/>\u2022\tAnalysis of bids in order to ensure profitability using standard business modelling techniques and where appropriate produce a P&amp;L to deliver clearly articulated profitability measures <br \/>\u2022\tIdentify, negotiate and coordinate team resources across various groups within the organization whose inputs are required for product development <br \/>\u2022\tAnalyse potential partner relationships for new products. <br \/>\u2022\tPut in place business performance metrics that allows the success of the product to be monitored and measured <br \/>\u2022\tKeep tab of competitive threats, discover opportunities, and work on envisaged weakness to constantly position the company to achieve set vision. <br \/>\u2022\tParticipate in pre-sales solution formulation through system deployment; including bid preparation and customer interface resulting in solutions architecture proposals. <br \/>\u2022\tConduct quarterly customer surveys to seek customer feedback on the departmental and company performance and suggest ways of correcting performance against the generated feedback <br \/>\u2022\tBe the innovation champion within the commercial department as well as company operation <\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">MINIMUM EXPERIENCE &amp; ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE <\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Job Knowledge: <\/span><br \/>\u2022\tMS Office applications (Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.). <br \/>\u2022\tKnowledge of Financial Management Principles <br \/>\u2022\tKnowledge of Contract Management Principles <br \/>\u2022\tKnowledge of Sales and Marketing Management <br \/>\u2022\tUnderstanding of Telecommunications industry <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Job Related Skills<\/span>: <br \/>\u2022\tBe able to communicate across all levels within the organizations <br \/>\u2022\tGood Communication skills and presentation skills. <br \/>\u2022\tBe well organized, structured and be able to drive and oversee multi-discipline projects within the organization. <br \/>\u2022\tAble to plan and prioritize work and time to meet changing requirements and short timescales. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Behavioural Competency Requirements: <\/span><br \/>\u2022\tCreative and innovating <br \/>\u2022\tPlanning and Organizing <br \/>\u2022\tDeciding and Initiating action <br \/>\u2022\tPersuading and influencing <br \/>\u2022\tAnalysing <br \/>\u2022\tInnovation <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS <\/span><br \/>\u2022\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in any relevant discipline;
