The successful applicant should be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively under pressure while consistently meeting tight deadlines.<\/p>\n<p>To excel in this role, you should demonstrate professionalism, confidence, and a meticulous approach to your work, with a strong focus on driving cost-efficient operations across the organization. You should also have excellent presentation and report-writing skills, together with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Management Accountant Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents and records of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of monthly gross margins and recommend price adjustments periodically.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for financial statements.<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of any changes in goods or services provided to determine what effect it has on the cost.<\/li>\n<li>Analysis of manufacturing costs and preparation of variance analysis of standard costs to actual production costs.<\/li>\n<li>Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.<\/li>\n<li>Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products.<\/li>\n<li>Review of optimization initiatives and highlighting key areas to address to ensure cost efficiencies in the operations.<\/li>\n<li>Monthly management accounts and production variance reports<\/li>\n<li>Annual budget preparation and monthly variance analysis<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations<\/li>\n<li>Posting or supplier raw material invoices and month-end journals<\/li>\n<li>Assist in external audits<\/li>\n<li>Conduct and supervise physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.<\/li>\n<li>Support management with accurate financial analysis of business performance to aid in decision making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full ACCA or CIMA or ZICA<\/li>\n<li>Member of ZICA (essential).<\/li>\n<li>5-7 years of management accounting experience (preferably in manufacturing sector\/FMCG).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sound understanding of accounting principles.<\/li>\n<li>Solid cost systems background.<\/li>\n<li>Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Good report-writing, verbal communication, and IT skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently, or as part of a team and handle multiple tasks under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Good working knowledge of accounting systems (Sage Evolution is an advantage).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u201cAll candidates are required to obtain their ZAQA certification from the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA)<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":14,"featured_media":5342,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_application":"wsilwamba@priconsultants.com","_company_name":"","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[264,121],"job-types":[114],"class_list":["post-10278","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job_listing_category-fmcg","job_listing_category-manufacturing","job_listing_type-available","job-type-available"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.7 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Management Accountant - PRI Vacancies<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.priconsultants.com\/vacancies\/job\/10278\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Management Accountant - PRI Vacancies\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"We are recruiting!
