Role Overview
\nThe Country Butchery Manager will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for more than
\n40 in-store butcheries across Zambia. This senior role requires a proven track record in managing
\nmultiple retail butcheries, with strong expertise in recipe development, product innovation, and large
\nscale team management. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure product
\nquality and consistency, and deliver innovative butchery solutions that enhance customer satisfaction
\nand profitability.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\n\u2022 Operational Leadership
\no Oversee butchery operations across 40+ retail outlets nationwide.
\no Ensure consistent product quality, hygiene, and compliance with food safety standards.
\no Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
\n\u2022 Recipe Development & Product Innovation
\no Lead recipe development and introduce new product lines tailored to customer
\npreferences.
\no Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to design promotional campaigns.
\no Monitor market trends and adapt product offerings to maintain competitiveness.
\n\u2022 Team Management
\no Recruit, train, and mentor butchery managers and staff across all stores.
\no Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
\no Conduct regular performance reviews and implement staff development plans.
\n\u2022 Financial & Strategic Oversight
\no Manage budgets, cost control, and profitability of butchery operations.
\no Conduct regular sales analysis and forecasting to support business growth.
\no Negotiate with suppliers to secure quality products at competitive prices.
\n\u2022 Customer Engagement & Service Excellence
\no Ensure exceptional customer service standards across all butchery departments.
\no Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve offerings.
\no Drive initiatives to increase customer loyalty and repeat business.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Food Science, Agriculture, or related field
\n(mandatory).
\n\u2022 Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple retail butcheries, including recipe
\ndevelopment.
\n\u2022 Proven management experience overseeing large teams and multiple outlets.
\n\u2022 Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
\n\u2022 Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.<\/p>\n
